What's Her Story?

An Oregon and Washington native recently returned to Portland after spending the last seventeen years in New York and San Francisco, I began writing for the stage in my final year of an MFA in Acting at the University of Minnesota when I became fascinated by the “secret” lives of Shakespeare’s female characters in the history plays.  After meeting the creative team at Dramahaus in New York, we embarked on a full Equity production in Soho and the journey into writing and producing began.

During the production of HER MAJESTY THE KING I landed a Creative Services position at Saatchi & Saatchi NYC where I specialized in producing voice overs for radio commercials and managed the creative team for the Toyota Group.  Over the years I've had various other producing roles in corporate marketing departments.  I also spent four years as a full time Casting Director at  Nancy Hayes Casting in San Francisco where I cast many independent films, shorts, and commercials, national and otherwise.  I have certificates from The Berkeley Digital Film Institute in Producing and Directing and the Bay Area Video Coalition in Producing and Editing, in addition to an MFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre and a BA in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University.

I am currently developing a massive theatre project called The Oregon Women Trilogy (including the plays THE STILL HUNT, LITTLE GUN, and TBD).
